The fun day originally began as a way to support Nick following his stage 4, incurable cancer diagnosis — helping him tick off some bucket-list dreams, including a special family trip to Canada, while he is still well enough to travel and make memories with his wife and daughters.

But plans have evolved.

Nick was never comfortable with the day being just about him. Instead, he wanted it to become something bigger — something that lasts.

Alongside helping with the costs of his own bucket-list experiences, the fun day will now also raise funds to create a brand-new charity. A charity built on hope, kindness, and moments of light during the darkest of times.

Nick’s wish is to leave behind a legacy that supports other families facing a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. The charity aims to help people in similar circumstances enjoy meaningful experiences of their own — whether that’s a small thrilling experience, a family day out, or even something as simple as a trip out for coffee and cake.

The charity also hopes to provide access to complementary therapies that can ease the physical pain and emotional toll of cancer treatment — therapies that are often out of reach, yet can make a real difference to quality of life.
